An interactive multimedia installation examining artist Willie Little’s family and childhood in rural North Carolina in the 1960s and 70s, In My Own Little Corner takes its title from a song from Rodgers and Hammerstein’s Cinderella, which Mr. Little saw on television as a child. The exhibit, in equal amounts wistful and frank, moves the viewer from the artist’s early childhood through young adulthood, charting the dynamics of family relationships and his burgeoning realization of his sexual identity, which eventually led to his leaving home.
